Much like the little ones entering their first swim meet, or getting their first job, there is a sense of pride when our offspring branch out into the great unknown of the world. And just like proud parents, Woodpile was lucky enough to see one of our own placed on the auction block this past week. Where did this painting go? Will it have to fight for it's own place in the world? All questions we can't answer, but certainly good value is the reward for those who saw fit to take home this orphan.
Like all big steps in life, this piece did give us one final lesson as it made it's way to places unknown. Victoria's auction community finds the thought of art being created in a garage hilarious...
We wouldn't have it any other way.
